About the house
Villa Architetti
The house is an original Piedmont style building from the 1870’s, and has been totally renovated and reconstructed by establishing of a “Campanile” that gives the it a more complete and characteristic feel. The house itself is situated in the middle of vineyard landscapes, away from the surrounding roads and towns, with a spacious recreational area that holds a salt water infinity pool, a pool house and a bar. The pool can be heated if extended use in the spring and autumn seasons is required.
A 100 m2 marble-paved outdoor area is perfect for recreational activities and sunbathing. Additionally, 1500m2 of lawn is perfect for various activities and ball games.
Spacious shaded areas in the garden give good opportunities for delicious long meals during the day, protected from the sun but exposed to the beautiful surrounding landscapes.
The house has an area of 500 square meters, consisting of 3 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 5 double bedrooms with bathrooms and a smaller apartment with a double room, bathroom and kitchen. The house is equipped for a maximum of 21 people.
We will rent on a weekly basis only.
About us
How it all came to be…
We both had a strong love for Italy after having spent many great holidays here.
Over time our interest for Piemontes unique food and culture grew, and this led to us buying this old house from 1870 in Calamandrana in 2010.
We used our architectural skills to renovate the house to our taste. We tried our best to combine new and modern style and forms with the original old elements. The renovation took some time – there were almost four years of ups and downs, happiness and despair, as well as close encounters with the Italian construction culture at its best and its worst. Still, we managed to compete the project according to the plans we had made.
We are very pleased with the results of all this work, and we are looking forward to inviting you to come, judge for yourself and experience this beautiful house and its extraordinary location.
